  • Weight: 45kg (20kg with bricks removed)
  • Heat up time: 15-20+ minutes (400°C)
  • Free Delivery: 2 Working Days
  • Cooking time: 60 seconds
  • Fuel: Wood fired

The Igneus Classico is perfect for families and has been built for outdoor use. You will be able to cook two 12” pizzas in 60 seconds. Alternatively, it can also hold two large roasting trays, if you want to roast meats/ veg instead of cooking pizzas. The Classico only takes 15-20 minutes to get up to the ideal pizza cooking temperature (400°C). With an internal cooking area of 60x60cm, the Classico has a fantastic cooking capacity.

Features

There is a built-in thermometer on the front left of the oven will help you keep track of internal temperature. However we recommend purchasing an infrared digital thermometer as it helps you know the brick temperature more accurately.

You can help maintain the heat within the Classico by using the damper system on the chimney. As well as this you can also use the removable door and adjust the air vents. This is particularly helpful if you are wanting to slow cook your food. However any food that isn’t pizza will need cooking in some form of cast iron cookware.

The firebricks used in the Igneus Classico are 28mm thick and are made to retain the heat from the wood fire. As with all Igneus pizza ovens, the Classico is wood fired. It is fuelled by kiln dried hardwood logs. We recommend using kiln dried silver birch as it is quick to light and burns at a high heat. More dense hardwoods will take longer to heat up the pizza oven.

Lightweight

Weighing only 45kg, this oven can go anywhere in your garden; moreover, with the firebricks removed, it weighs only 20kg. The lightweight nature of the Classico means that you can move it around your garden easily to get the best performance. Additionally, you can place the oven on any table top surface (apart from granite and glass). Furthermore, there are four wooden legs underneath that keep the oven a safe distance from whatever surface it is placed on. Notably, we have two stand options available: a wooden stand and a custom stainless steel trolley stand

Hand Made

The Igneus pizza oven range is hand made in Portugal. The Classico is by far the most popular oven in the range due to its cooking capacity, speed of cooking and affordability. It comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. If you are in mainland UK, we also offer free delivery to your home.

Use & Care for Your Wood-Fired Pizza Oven

Taking proper care of your wood-fired pizza oven ensures it performs beautifully, lasts for many years, and delivers authentic wood-fired flavour every time. Whether your oven is built-in, freestanding, or part of a luxury outdoor kitchen, follow these essential care tips to get the most from your investment.

  • Cure Your Pizza Oven Before First Use - Always follow the manufacturer’s curing instructions before your first cook. This usually involves gradually building up heat over several days to temper the refractory materials and prevent cracking.

  • Use Seasoned, Hardwood Logs Only- Burn clean, dry hardwoods such as oak, ash, or beech. Avoid using softwoods, resinous woods, or treated timber, as they produce excess smoke, creosote, and can damage the interior of your pizza oven.

  • Preheat Properly Before Cooking- Give your oven ample time to reach the correct temperature (typically 400–500°C for pizza). Allowing the oven to heat slowly helps avoid thermal shock and ensures even cooking across the stone floor and dome.

  • Clean the Oven Floor After Each Use- Once the oven cools slightly, use a brass-bristle brush or pizza oven rake to sweep out ash and food residue. Never use water inside the oven while it is hot — let it cool completely first.

  • Empty the Ash Pan or Chamber Weekly- Regularly remove built-up ash from your oven’s ash drawer or floor. This improves airflow, helps your oven heat more efficiently, and keeps your food tasting clean.

  • Protect with a Weatherproof Cover- If your wood-fired oven is outdoors, always use a breathable, weather-resistant cover when not in use. This protects the dome and chimney from moisture damage, especially in the UK climate.

  • Check the Chimney for Blockages Seasonally- Inspect and clean the flue or chimney at the start of each cooking season to remove soot and debris. This ensures proper smoke ventilation and reduces fire risk.

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals and Abrasives- Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads or chemicals that could damage painted, stainless steel, or refractory surfaces.

  • Use Thermal Blankets or Insulation for Built-In Models- If your oven is installed into a structure, ensure proper insulation is in place to retain heat efficiently and avoid cracking from uneven expansion.

  • Winterise for Off-Season Protection- If not using your oven during colder months, deep clean, empty the ash, and store accessories indoors. Cover the oven securely to protect against frost, rain, and temperature shifts.

Caring for your wood-fired pizza oven not only protects your investment but also ensures every cook is as good as the first — with that unmistakable wood-fired aroma and perfect crust.
