Your Burning Questions, Answered

At The Cotswold Cooking Company, we offer a curated selection of pizza ovens that cater to both purists and convenience seekers. The majority of our ovens are traditional wood-fired, delivering that unmistakable, smoky flavour and blistered crust that only real flames can achieve. For added versatility, some models are also available in dual-fuel or gas-fired formats — perfect for quick weeknight cooking without sacrificing heat performance.

Here’s a quick guide to the fuel types used in our most popular ovens:

Clementi – Available in both wood-fired and gas-fired models, giving you flexibility to suit your cooking style.

Igneus – Primarily wood-fired, designed for authentic, flame-cooked flavour in under 90 seconds.

Igneus Ceramiko – A dedicated wood-fired oven, crafted with ceramic stone for superior heat retention.

Fontana – Offers both wood-fired and gas-fired ovens, engineered in Italy for exceptional temperature control and fuel efficiency.

Alfa Forni – Available in wood, gas, or hybrid setups — combining heritage design with modern performance.

Whether you're seeking the ritual and aroma of a crackling log fire or the ease of gas ignition, our range includes options to suit every lifestyle and level of outdoor cooking enthusiasm.

Most of our pizza ovens are designed to be easy to set up and ready to use with minimal fuss. In fact, many models arrive fully assembled or require only simple setup — such as placing the cooking stone, attaching the chimney, and positioning it on a heatproof surface. You can be up and cooking in under 30 minutes in most cases.

For more robust or built-in models like the Igneus Ceramiko or Fontana Gusto, some light assembly or finishing may be required, particularly if you're opting for a custom render, enclosure, or built-in design. The Ceramiko core typically takes around one hour to assemble, with additional time needed for insulation or rendering if you're going for a polished finish.

If you’ve chosen a pizza oven with a stand or trolley, you’ll also need to assemble the base — this usually takes 30–40 minutes, and full instructions are provided.

Every oven includes a printed user guide, and you can also access digital manuals via our support centre for peace of mind.

es — to get the most out of your pizza oven and cook safely and effectively, a few key accessories are essential. If you're purchasing the oven on its own, you'll likely need to add tools such as a pizza peel, ash rake, and oven brush. However, many of our pizza oven bundles include a full accessory kit to get you started — offering better value and convenience.

Here’s a quick guide to what's needed for each of our core brands:

Igneus – The Minimo includes a peel and rake, but we recommend adding a cover and cast-iron pan set for added versatility.

The Bambino and Classico require a peel and rake, sold separately or in discounted bundles.

Igneus Ceramiko – Accessories like peels, rakes, and brushes can be added as a Ceramiko Bundle, ideal if you're opting for a fully insulated oven setup.

Clementi – To operate safely, you’ll need a pizza peel, ash rake, oven brush, and spinner. These are not included by default but can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle. We also recommend a weatherproof cover and gloves for year-round protection.

Fontana Forni – Fontana ovens are built for professional-grade performance, and we suggest at minimum a peel set, gloves, and oven brush.

Optional stands, covers, and cast iron cookware are also available.

Alfa Forni – Alfa ovens can be paired with a wide range of Alfa-made accessories including multi-size peels, infrared thermometers, and fuel holders. Most are optional but recommended for optimal results.

Inferno – Requires a peel and ash rake at minimum. Accessories like stands, toolsets, and covers are available separately or in bundles.
